Acne & Acne Scars

Acne & Acne Scars

Acne is a skin condition that occurs when your hair follicles become plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Acne typically appears on the face, neck, chest, back and shoulders. Acne can be distressing and annoying. Often acne lesions heal slowly, and when one begins to resolve, others seem to crop up. Depending on its severity, acne can cause emotional distress and lead to scarring of the skin. The good news is that effective treatments are available at the Clinical Skin Center— and the earlier treatment is started, the less your risk of lasting physical and emotional damage.

If your acne scars don’t fade away on their own, it may be time to consider some of the safe and advanced options that are available from our expert Dermatologists. Within just a few sessions, laser technology can reduce the redness in scars, even out the skin surface and increase new collagen formation to help fill in acne scars. Non-ablative lasers stimulate the production of collagen without damaging the skin's surface allowing smoother skin to develop in the scar.  Filler injections can also prove beneficial by filling in the indentations left behind from deep acne scars.

These before and after pictures are representative of some of our most satisfied patients. Results and number of treatments will vary. A person's results will depend on a variety of factors.
