Dr. Jeffrey F. Scott is an extraordinarily talented, board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs Micrographic surgeon. He is the former Director of Mohs Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Scott focuses on Mohs micrographic surgery, complex cutaneous reconstruction after Mohs surgery, the surgical management of high-risk non-melanoma skin cancer, melanoma, rare skin cancers, and the management of skin cancer in transplant recipients. Dr. Scott takes great pride in the meticulous surgical and non-surgical treatments that he provides to his patients. He combines the latest techniques with kindness and careful attention to the needs and desires of his patients.
After earning his M.D. and M.H.S. from Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Scott completed the prestigious fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and Cutaneous Oncology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Scott previously served as the Co-Director of the Dermatologic Surgery Research Group at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and has published over 100 articles in the peer-reviewed medical literature. Dr. Scott was recognized by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery with a Young Investigators Award in 2019. He has also been nationally recognized by the American College of Mohs Surgery as a member of the “ACMS Mohs Surgeons Leading the Future” program.
Dr. Scott has served as a member on the skin cancer panel for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), tasked with updating national multidisciplinary consensus guidelines on the management of basal cell carcinoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, Merkel cell carcinoma, and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP).
